High-Frequency Transformers

High-frequency transformers operate well above line frequency — typically from a few kilohertz into the megahertz range. The higher frequency lets the core be dramatically smaller for the same power, but it also means winding losses, leakage inductance, and core material selection drive the design rather than simple turns count.
It depends on frequency, flux density, and loss budget. Ferrite covers most switch-mode designs, nanocrystalline gives high permeability and low loss where size or common-mode performance is critical, and powdered iron suits designs that need distributed gap and DC bias tolerance. We recommend the material as part of the free design.
Yes. For LLC and other resonant topologies we can either minimize leakage through interleaved windings or deliberately build it to a target value so it serves as the resonant inductor. Give us the number you need and the tolerance you can live with.
