Wound to Spec
Flyback Transformers, Wound to Spec
A flyback transformer is really a coupled inductor: it stores energy in a gapped core while the switch is on and releases it into the secondary when the switch turns off. That makes it the workhorse of low- and mid-power isolated converters — and it makes the gap, turns ratio, and leakage inductance the difference between a design that runs cool and one that never gets through EMI testing.
We wind single-output and multi-output flybacks from a few watts up to roughly 250 W, for switching frequencies from 20 kHz to 500 kHz, with the isolation, bobbin, and footprint your board requires. Send us the controller, the input range, and the outputs — our engineers spec the rest for free, and every unit is individually tested before it ships.
Applications
Where Flyback Transformers Are Used
Wherever an isolated converter has to deliver several rails from one small magnetic — on the board, not in the cabinet.
Switch-Mode Power Supplies
Isolated AC-DC and DC-DC supplies where one magnetic has to produce several regulated rails.
EV & Battery Charging
Bias and auxiliary supplies riding on high-voltage DC buses, with the isolation to match.
Industrial Electronics
Drives, instrumentation, and control boards that need compact isolated power on-board.
Standby / Aux Power
Low-power always-on rails for housekeeping, gate drive bias, and control logic.
